japan recession?!?!?! maybe not??

last weekend we were out in the chaos of shinjuku and I have to say, business looked good. now we are far from experts on that area but not only were people out and in shops – but some places had cashier lines 8-12 deep, wallets in hand. this picture is line to get into kitson (la celeb boutique) on opening weekend. I didn’t think too much of it but over the course of the week, their seem to be more and more people not only out but shopping. our favorite eateries were bustling and Tokyo-ites were totting shopping bags everywhere. could it be the good weather? could mother nature conquer father recession? or maybe just a fluke. we will see a only time will tell.

just doing a little grocery shopping on a lovely Friday afternoon and had to share the super premium packaging on this $6 apple. the outside styrafoam is pretty typical but notice the extra styrafoam square that protects the apple stem. crazy attention to detail!! this is the part of the apple most people rip off!! you gotta love that.
