my lovely wife doing her best to multi-task as she gets ready for her trip to Kobe, while her favorite tv show is on!!! the sofa is for comfort. the lean is to dry her hair on the heater. the mirror is to see the tv. I love it – genius and amusing at the same time!!

Pat Law (credit) over at blankcanvas put up this post about Justine Lai, a San Francisco based artist, has been painting portraits of herself fucking the Presidents of the United States, in chronological order. She’s just done fucking Ulysses S. Grant.
in my opinion, her assessment of both the art itself and the concept are right on (as we share the same taste). Thanks Pat!

JiYoung and I were strolling around Roppongi and came across this little pop-up Okinawa grocery store… complete with delicious PIG FACE, ji-ma-ma tofu and Campbells canned soup (america’s contribution to the island cuisine). Such a treat and the tofu was tasty. We didn’t have any pig face – maybe next time!!

on a cherry blossom filled day, the roppongi art walk kicked off. we only got to see a little bit but the highlight was this giant, working robot (6-7m) in roppongi hills. it can be controlled by kids at a romote station and reportedly breathes fire at random intervals!!! very cool!!!
