Sapporo Snow Festival
10.02.2008
It February and time for the Sapporo Snow Festival!! It was a haul to get there (first time flying in japan) but it was a blast. A little cold but well worth it. The ice sculptures are amazing. Huge at 5 meters high and with a level of detail that only 3,000 army men could produce. We also hit Yuki-Matsuri which is an awesome Zoo with the coolest polar bears. So much fun. We highly recommend it… WooHoo!!

Great pics! Sylvia and I went to the Quebec City Winter Carnival in mid-Feb and saw lots of ice / snow sculptures, as well as the Ice Hotel.
Oh, I also did some rock climbing in El Potrero (Mexico) 2 weeks later with some friends. Awesome weather and time there! :)
