About 3 weeks after we got married we paid my new inlaws a visit for a nice hike in the mountains but their home. It was a beautiful fall day and JY Father lead us on the big adventure. 5 hours later, I realized 3 big things:

1. I married into a great family. About half way into the hike, we stopped and Mr. Park honored my be imparting some wisdom to me as the new man of his daughters life. It was truly touching and a time I will never forget.

2. Though great, my father-in-law may not have the best sense of direction. After about 3-4 detours, we finally got on track… 2 hours later :)

3. Hiking is just walking. Really it is. Nothing special there in terms of sport.

They recently renewed an old history river that runs through the middle of Seoul called ChungGye Chung. It was controversial for a number of reasons but now that it’s done and done, people seem to love it. 6 million visited in the first 4 weeks. It’s a little stream but has much charm with little walks on both sides littered with art showings and whatnot!
