Same old – Same old. Just trying to recover from a long ass week. Back from the marathon, living on little sleep and trying to get a butt-load of work done… but it’s all good i guess. PDX is getting better – waiting for the weather to turn, but it’s just teasing us now. The NFL Draft was today and no BC’ers taken but the bigger issue that’s vexing me is what the fuck is up with my Vikings – missed their draft pick! missed it! just didn’t make it up to the podium in 5 minutes to make their pick. If you’re job was to make that pick and you had 6 month to prepare – don’t ya think you’d be ready. I can tell it’s going to be an awesome season baby!!

Couple pics from the boston marathon: view of my old apartment from the westin / lead pack as they pass us on mile 17 / start of heartbreak hill / the masses

18 days till my big 3-0… I better get going on it – whatever “it” is :)

Oregon really is a pure place. You know how when you get your car washed and then it rains? It leaves those dirty spots all over the place left over from residue in the water. Just doesn’t happen here. Got my rig washed and it rained 3 times since (in 2 days) and no spots. Like magic, but not terribly exciting.

Off to boston for the marathon…

A beautiful weekend to re-arrange my apartment and clean up. Dinner on the east side, blues at the Blue Monk and an intriguing interpretive dance performance at PCC. Pendulum Aerial Dance Theatre was a cross between cirque de solie and a teen version of shakespeare storytelling. Pretty amazing for this small town theatre stuff.

And big congrats to Anne Heaton and all her fans for getting her an opening gig for Jewel this summer. Not a Jewel fan, but Anne truly has one of the most beautiful voices i’ve heard in a long time.

Headed out to the coast today for a little volunteer work with Jenna and Kristen. Beach cleanup in the POURING rain!! Nothing like the Oregon coast and if you ever get a chance, I highly recommend it. Here’s a shot of Haystack Rock and Kristen and Jenna in front of Oregon’s tallest tree and the nation’s tallest spruce! Crazy.

…is Here. [look]

A beautiful weekend in pTown. 70’s and sunny skies which brought a walk through Saturday Market (the self-proclaimed world’s largest market), shanks and hooks at the golf range and huffin’ and puffin’ as I bladed along the riverfront – capped off with, yes – some great Moroccan food and belly dancing in front of new friends and strangers a like. You know you would have paid to see my shakin’ talent!
