Gotta Love a Job Where That Happens. Beats Carson Daily and Sway anyway…

The rollercoaster ride continues… But the past weekend had the pleasure of a visit from my best friend in the world – G. My first official visitor (past my moving partner in crime) to PDX. And with it being her first unteathered trip from her 3yr and 9mo, a good time was had. Fine meals at Portland City Grill, BeeSaws, NobleRot and more. Quality shopping ranging from Girlfriends to Hanna Anderson. Massages at Doscha. And some beautiful (and rainy) sightseeing – Chinese Gardens, Washington Park and the Pittock Mansion. Thanks for making the xcountry trip. It was a pleasure.

Other than that, apparently we’re at War.

Fuck Me I’m Out of Shape. 60 minutes of full court hoop at the Bo and I’m ready to die. Unbelievable. Hopefully, posts weeks from now will be about me seriously throwin’ it down but today it’s about low stamina and missing a couple easy ones…

Man has is been a dragging week. Have you ever had day after day of asking youself, “What the fuck am i doing?” New job, new places, new people – it’s all starting to get on my nerves and I can’t really explain it. Maybe because it’s not bad, but it’s just not great. Everyone is really nice so maybe it’s just me. Who knows – on paper it should be all good, but in my head, it’s just not there yet. As usually, it’s totally me.

It’s been a busy week filled with a truly random cornucopia of work projects. Nights have been littered with dinners with new people, American Idol with a 5 year old, Anne Heaton (who rocks!) and a room full of Angry Chick Rock Music Lovers with some “interesting” lesbian encounters at the Pan and a nice jaunt through the rain at the Portland First Thursday Art Walk. Culture and original NW experiences from many perspectives.

OK. March 2, 2003 and the end to one of my first excellent weekends in Oregon. Everything from getting errands done, to hitting the gym and golf balls at the range, to partying to 3am (no twins), to swim lessons with a 5 year old, to a Blazer game (101-84 over Pistons). It’s been a busy and fun 2 days and I am beat. Settling in well and realizing that people are truly nicer on this side of the world. A beautiful week that is hopefully the first of many more and the kick-off to a great week. Wish me luck in the wacky world of nike :).
