Nantucket

aaahhh.. Back from Vacation. It’s amazing what a week in Nantucket will do for you. Thank You Sainos! I must admit that vacations taken with a 3 year and 3 month old are a bit draining sometimes – it always seams to be a beach day – it was a blast. The kids were too cute (Grace and Cecelia) and the weather was great. A little biking where I discovered the nude beach, 3 fried clam sandwhiches, a morning of fishing where I caught about 8 sun fish, sand castles in the sand and much, much more. Bookended with two rounds of golf (one good, one bad) and the grand finale of Cecelia’s Baptism… with the whole McCormick clan!! Aaahhh – great to be away and great to be back. Next… a long weekend in the great northwest and a week in Taiwan with family. I’ll keep you all posted.

What a rainy week in Gotham – dreary, dark and damp – BUT refreshingly cool. The weeks closing out the summer have been busy. Work heating up (who would have thouhgt?) and the desire for life to be in some assemblance of order has finally caught up with me… but first a little catch up (as usual).

The Marvin Chow Modern Day Triathalon. Couple weeks ago, Marc and I took a rare summer friday and started the event. 27 holes of Golf in Little Egg Harbor (south, south, jersey) followed by 8 hours of Craps at Ceasars in Atlantic City followed by a couple hours of Sea Kayaking in Cape May – all with some quick boardwalk food and 2 hours of sleep in between – That was the Event. And if it not been for some lightening in Cape May ruling out all water activities, it would have been completed – all in 24 hours. But alas, we’d settle for pancakes and coffee on the beach with the rest of the crew and Kayaking would wait till Sunday. But all in all – a good weekend. And for the million dollar question on all your minds – I left the Craps table down $300 after being up $400 and hitting 3 nickel Yo’s.

This past week has been a classic NY one. K@ and I graced the crowd at the Chanel Launch Party – for their new fragrace – CHANCE – and though no speed dating occured, it was a blast none-the-less. Caught some good rounds at the US Open as well – Davenport, Agassi and Gambill – all solid wins with Gambill pulling the great upset, wrecking Moya. The weekend was equally NY with a trip to Coney Island, some good cotton candy and Branda freakin’ out on the Wonder Wheel Swinging Car(according to the sign, it’s been around for 82 years and has been accident free for 75 of them???).

Anyway – be good and enjoy the cool weather. I’m off to rest up for the week before my vacation in NANTUCKET – YEAH!!!!
